Beating Math
Mathematics is well known for its role in technical fields like Engineering, Physics, and Computer Science. Yet those are not the only places where math can help you stay in the groove. Surprisingly, math can be found in the daily activities all around us. Whether one is performing a professional task or finishing a chore around the house, math is always there to keep you upbeat.
In this Science Seminar, Hung Duong shows how mathematics helps him stay in the rhythm as a musician and drummer. Hung will share his experiences with math and music where the music of the spheres vibrates the head!
So come on out and learn the secrets of beating math.

Mathematics Has Your Back
Are you in pain? Perhaps mathematics can be the cure. It happens without needles and you don't even have to get on a train leaving Denver. Mathematics provides
much of the science behind one of the subfields within chiropractic and so we say that math has your back. In this Science Seminar, National Upper Cervical
Chiropractic (NUCCA) will be introduced from a mathematician’s point of view. Kate Erhardt will share her experiences as a NUCCA patient as well as her understanding
of the mathematics that the NUCCA practitioners use in determining when an adjustment is needed and how the correction of the subluxation needs to be performed. So
come and learn just how much mathematics has your back.

Gregory Reinemer and Rich Bankhead
The nearly annual Physics show
Physics and Engineering – united for one spectacular Science Seminar. Who will have the most fiery performance? Will the force be with them? Just how shocking will
it be? If all goes well, you will have a blast. If experiments go awry, Highline will replace Building 7 (and make national news). Trust me, you don’t want to miss
this one!
